I am so excited to start this new journey and begin teaching here at Vick Elementary.  I have heard so many wonderful things about the school and community and I can't wait to experience it myself.   My name is Jennifer Bauth and I will be your child’s third grade teacher this year.  My vision for our classroom is to have a safe and inviting environment that supports growing learners and leaders.  I would hope that we will be able to work towards a successful year together.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and attended Fredonia State University where I graduated with a degree in elementary education grades 1 through 6 with a math concentration.  I also have my masters degree from Buffalo State University in curriculum and instruction.  I have been married for 7 years to my amazing husband, Michael and have a beautiful little girl named Brynn who is 3.

This is my twelfth year teaching.  I began my teaching career at B.O Barnes Elementary where I taught fourth and second grade.  I then taught second and third grade at  Wells Elementary from 2008 -2017.  Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I have a love for learning and I would hope that my students would also learn to love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun and disciplined place for my students, I would hope that they will enjoy coming to my classroom and learning something new everyday.

I believe that a successful year starts with an open communication line between parents and teachers.  Please feel free to call (399-7886) or email (jennifer.bauth@wilsonschoolsnc.net) me if you have any questions or concerns but with any emails sent or phone calls, please allow me till the end of the next day to respond. Third grade is a busy year and I will not have much time to look through emails or listen to voicemail until the end of the day.
